Public Message About Ending Dragon Roast Partnership

I want to give a quick update for transparency’s sake. You might’ve noticed that I’ve quietly stepped away from my partnership with Dragon Roast Coffee.

This wasn’t due to any drama or disagreement. The folks at Dragon Roast have been absolutely fantastic to work with. They’re kind, generous, and passionate about what they do. I still think their coffee is great!

That said, over the past while I’ve realized two things:

  • One of my personal principles is that I only promote or affiliate with products I actually use and enjoy, but I wasn’t able to keep using the product because of the outrageous cost of shipping to Canada (not DR’s fault, of course).
  • As I’ve prayed and reflected on what it means to be an “affiliate” or “brand partner”, I’ve felt it was time to simplify and focus my partnerships on things that align more closely with my own values and daily life. (For example, though it’s a “secular company”, I still drink Rogue all the time and think it’s a great product.)

There’s no drama or negativity here — just a decision made with peace and gratitude. I’m genuinely thankful for the chance to have worked with them and wish their team nothing but success as they keep roasting up amazing coffee for nerds everywhere.

I would love to work with some brothers and sisters in Christ, so if you happen to know any Christian-owned that would consider partnering with creators or supporting digital ministry, I’d love to hear about them. I’m sure there are many other creators in the TACO tribe that would also love to meet them.

Thanks for understanding, and thanks as always for supporting what I do.
